SHIPPING OVERVIEW
Beads Poetry is based in Ontario, Canada, and we ship orders within Canada, to the United States, and internationally.
All jewelry is handmade using delicate Japanese glass beads and is carefully packaged to minimize the risk of damage during transit. However, once an order is handed over to the shipping carrier, delivery timelines and handling are outside of our control.
By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined in this Shipping Policy.
ORDER PROCESSING TIME
Orders are typically processed within 7–15 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page
Custom or made-to-order pieces may require additional processing time
Processing time does not include shipping transit time
Orders are not shipped on weekends or Canadian public holidays
You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been shipped.
SHIPPING DESTINATIONS
🇨🇦 CANADA
We ship across Canada using trusted carriers such as Canada Post or equivalent services.
Estimated delivery time:
2–7 business days, depending on location and service selected
🇺🇸 UNITED STATES
We ship to the United States via tracked international shipping services.
Estimated delivery time:
5–14 business days, depending on destination, customs clearance, and carrier performance
🌍 INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
International shipping is available to select countries.
Estimated delivery time:
7–25 business days, depending on destination country, customs processing, and local postal services
Please note that international delivery times may vary significantly and are estimates only.
SHIPPING RATES
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are based on destination, package weight, and selected shipping method
Prices displayed at checkout do not include customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or other government fees
Customers are solely responsible for any additional charges imposed by their country.
TRACKING INFORMATION
Tracking numbers are provided for most shipments when available
Once the package has been shipped, tracking updates are managed by the carrier
Beads Poetry is not responsible for delays, missing scans, or tracking updates not reflected in real time
If tracking shows “Delivered” but the package is missing, please contact your local carrier directly.
CUSTOMS, DUTIES & TAXES
For international orders:
Customs duties, VAT, import taxes, and brokerage fees are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost
These charges are the buyer’s responsibility
Beads Poetry has no control over customs processing times or fees
Failure to pay customs fees may result in delayed delivery, return, or destruction of the package. In such cases, refunds will not be issued.
PACKAGING & FRAGILITY NOTICE
All Beads Poetry jewelry is packaged with care and protective materials suitable for fragile items.
However, by placing an order, you acknowledge that:
Japanese glass beads are fragile by nature
Minor movement or stress during transit may occur despite careful packaging
Beads Poetry cannot guarantee carrier handling practices
We recommend opening packages carefully and retaining all packaging until the item has been inspected.
DAMAGED PACKAGES DURING SHIPPING
If your order arrives damaged due to shipping:
You must:
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
Provide clear photos of:
The damaged item
The inner and outer packaging
The shipping label
Failure to report damage within this timeframe may result in the claim being denied.
Damage caused after delivery, improper opening, or handling is not considered shipping damage.
LOST, DELAYED OR STOLEN PACKAGES
Beads Poetry is not responsible for:
Shipping delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or events beyond our control
Packages marked as “Delivered” but stolen or missing
Incorrect addresses provided by the customer
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer is responsible for reshipping costs.
REFUSED OR UNCLAIMED SHIPMENTS
If an order is:
Refused by the recipient
Not claimed from customs or a local carrier
The package may be returned or destroyed. Shipping fees, customs fees, and handling charges are non-refundable.
ADDRESS ACCURACY
Customers are responsible for providing:
Correct and complete shipping addresses
Accurate postal codes, unit numbers, and contact information
Beads Poetry is not responsible for delivery issues caused by incorrect address details.
